Cool, my guys hates being in his enclosure. I hold him for hours after work. He has a big tank with proper husbandry but I think he is super high maintenance. Previous owners said they just couldn’t give him the time he needed. Since he is super comfortable with being outside the tank and being held, I’m hoping I can get him used to going places.

I’ve only had my guy for one day but he was already well tamed and friendly when I got him so I’m hoping I can take him places too. How tolerant are they for being held long periods of time? I want to bring him to a reptile expo in August.

    Where are you going lol?

[–] Anybody else insanely paranoid about heat lamps? cakeless 2 points ago in BeardedDragons

I once had a fish tank leak into a surge protector and almost catch fire but luckily my dad came home. I guess that situation has made me paranoid. I have dogs inside my house and worry about them.

I’m not sure what I’m even thinking would happen. I guess I was reading too much on the internet. Like if an earthquake happens and it falls I trust it will shatter but I’m worried it would just start smoking for some reason and start a fire lol. Whyyy am I so nuts!? Thanks for the input

Yeah true. Lol I’m just an anxious person and the thought of something getting super hot and exploding makes me crazy nervous. I don’t know why other lights seem more stable but u make a great point. I didn’t think of it that way. Thanks :)

Thank you! Just corkbark, a bamboo stick, and a fake plant. Very simple design.

Perfect, thanks. I just wasn’t sure with how skinny the babies are, how much weight they could afford to lose.

Yeah he’s been under for about 6 weeks or so and hasn’t eaten. He is fully under the substrate. I’ll probably do some more research. He’s my only frog. I don’t know much about them! Sorry for the 100 questions !!! You are so helpful.

I wasn’t sure if I should wake him up or let him be? I’m just letting him be for now. Trying to keep the soil moist. I think the issue is that the room is super warm and I put too much substrate so it would dry out easily. I need to take some out but I was worried about uncovering him.

What kind of frogs do you have? I have a Pacman frog, but he’s hibernating because I think the soil was a bit dry. I feel terrible about it.

I don’t even have a colony. I just buy about 50 a month to feed my leopard gecko and the ones that get to big to feed her I keep as a pet. And I have two adult male and two adult female I bought for fun. I want a colony but I just don’t feel like I know enough to start one. I also keep them in my bedroom and I would worry about them being loud lol. I want Madagascar roaches! They are so cool. I held one way back in the day and always liked them. Going to see if they have any at the reptile show this weekend b
