[–] What is the best English speaking country to study nursing? ease of access to education and tuition? carpinttas 2 points ago in StudentNurse

It's about $65k for each year

    that's a salary...

I would assume that the answer to the question "what's the best place to study nursing" would be one where you don't have to go into debt for 6 years or more

[–] What salary does it take to support 2 people, only 1 working, living on their own with a reasonable commute plus nursing school cost for an international student? carpinttas 1 points ago in Dublin

if that's true, it's not even worth it for me to apply for jobs...

even if I can get into google, with 3-4 years of experience I can only expect 55k base salary according to glassdoor. might as well put the effort into applying elsewhere? Canada or London?

[–] I feel like I have hurt my career prospects and I want some perspective. carpinttas 1 points ago in cscareerquestions

I know you are feeling disappointed with your performance during your masters. But dude. You graduated with a Master's degree. You are already ahead of 80~95% of other aspiring software engineers. You can find a great job, you can have a successful career. Others have achieved it with only a high-school degree. Millions have achieved it with only a bachelor that they barely passed. You will be able to achieve it with a much higher % chance. You have a great starting point. And not having work experience before finish the masters is not a big deal at all. Big-N hires new grads with no work experience as long as they can pass the leetcodes. Top 500 hires new grads with no work experience. Keeping applying, review and improve your applying process (resume, interview performance).

Try to look at the positives, force yourself to smile, force yourself to be confident, act like you are confident, and you will become confident.

You are going to make it.

We can all make it. I had colleagues in my bachelor who were 3X years old. On my first job, I had programmers who did a career change at 3X. Etc. Keep working on it and stay positive.

[–] When in a long distance relationship, is it a good idea to send nudes to your guy for no reason in the middle of the day/night? carpinttas 7 points ago in AskMen

No, he checks his phone at the wrong time and someone else might see it. His boss for example. Unless he has told you that he is always careful and it's okay to surprise him, I wouldn't do it.

    >What if I get him all worked up and then he goes and kiss another girl cause he was too horny?

wtf? if you don't trust your partner, your long-distance (or not) relationship isn't going to work. examine why do you even relate these two thoughts. Sending him a naked photo and him cheating?? Completely unrelated to normal people who feel secure in their relationship.

[–] Vancouver vs London vs Dublin for studying nursing carpinttas 1 points ago in StudentNurse

Yes, they are very expensive for renting. but so is every big city to some extent this decade. And that's the easiest part to investigate and make a decision - if I'm not offered a top 10% salary, I won't move there. I can see rent prices online easily.

I'm more worried about moving and then my wife not being able to study, something that's harder to know ahead of time.

[–] Am I making a mistake by moving to Vancouver for Software Engineering? carpinttas 3 points ago in vancouver

We didn't consider Australia. I didn't check, i assumed it's far and the currency was not as high paying for international travel/ savings. I'll check now.

hi, thank you for your advice! can you point us to any social media group or subreddit for nursing in Vancouver? We have so many questions!

    like:

can you please detail why you feel LPn is a waste? with bridge programs you do a total of 4 years just like the bachelor and you get to try if you enjoy nursing

is it very hard to get into these schools? what makes someone more competitive, high-school grades? previous bachelors degrees? my wife has a bachelors from a foreign country

Any thoughts on Vancouver Community College? it's easier to get into, cheaper? doesn't prepare you well for the exam?
