[–] [SPOILERS] Made a diagram to help people understand what happened dagst3r 1 points ago in inthesoulstone

My opinion is that the timeline where Cap doesn't come back after returning the stones (the prime timeline) is of no interest for the MCU. The MCU is going to follow the timeline where Old Cap passes the torch to the New Cap (a new, secondary timeline).

[–] What would want of a Final Fantasy II remake? dagst3r 6 points ago in FinalFantasy

It's what makes Final Fantasy II Final Fantasy II. It's like saying get rid of the junction system in an VIII remake or the sphere grid in a X remake.

[–] AITA for propositioning a girl in the gym? dagst3r 10 points ago in AmItheAsshole

YTA for the clickbait title (NTA for how you reacted at the gym).

[–] Chrono Trigger voted greatest game of this era by Japanese fans dagst3r 1 points ago in Games

7,100 readers from a single gaming magazine is not a conclusive vote.

    And the PSP Slim

[–] Samsung’s Folding Phones Break Easily dagst3r 4 points ago in nottheonion

At least they're not bursting into flames.

    It’s also photoshopped.

[–] AITA for my wife being upset because I got a job at a stripclub dagst3r 27 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Asking two different AITA questions in the same post is throwing off the commenters. It should be a rule that a post gives only a single AITA question.

[–] The Devil Wears Prada (2006) summed up with cartoon dagst3r -1 points ago in movies

Nice work! I don't think she says, "Everybody wants to be me" in the movie though. "Everybody wants to be us," is the line she says in the car.

[–] Kairi and Axel hold their ground dagst3r 3 points ago in KingdomHearts

Was anyone else a little miffed on how the cutscenes were handled during this part? You defeat one member, cutscene plays and...what are the other organization members doing at this time? Politely waiting on the sidelines? It kind of took me out of the moment.

[–] AITA for making a 19 year old adult cry? dagst3r 143 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Not only that but it was unprofessional. She’s the CLIENT. As a representative of the bank, Op should be servicing all clients with respect. Op was completely out of line, YTA.

[–] AITA for getting mad over cookies? dagst3r 6 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Reminds me of Curb Your Enthusiasm. “It was an empty gesture!”

[–] AITA for not wanting to hang out with the only other black dude on my spring field study? dagst3r 34 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Professors only care about their research. From the professor's point of view, this is just petty bullshit that should be easily resolvable by young adults.

OP needs to address his issue directly with the classmate in charge of organizing.

[–] Do Japanese memes exist? dagst3r 3 points ago in japan

Simply zooming in is a dead giveaway.

[–] AITA for reporting my sister to the IRS? dagst3r 1 points ago in AmItheAsshole

You're confusing the Action (reporting a crime) with the Motivation (out of spite). For example,

Person A: Action, donating blood; Motivation, because it's a good thing to do.

Person B: Action, donating blood; Motivation, for the likes on social media.

Person A is NTA while Person B is TA even though they performed the same action.

To say Motivation shouldn't be a factor, gives off a "the ends justify the means" approach.

Imagine a scenario where OP's father told OP "I'll do anything to prevent you from reporting BIL's crime".

Then, OP murders the father in order to freely report the crime. In this scenario, OP is in the clear because the ends justify the means. BIL has been reported so all is well.

[–] BBC News - First ever black hole image released dagst3r 5 points ago in worldnews

    From the NY Times,

The data — 5 petabyes, equivalent to a lifetime of selfies taken by 40,000 people, said Doug Marrone of the University of Arizona — were too voluminous to transmit over the internet. So they had to be placed on hard disks and flown back to M.I.T.’s Haystack Observatory, in Westford, Mass., and the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, in Bonn, Germany.
