Annoyed Asian grandmother crunchy chilli flakes. The best.

We evolved feet in order to kick things. It's just nature.

You do what you have to do. I had a child accidentally when I was young. Happy to have had her and she is great. But not sure I want more.

Kids are not as important as everyone things.

Well... I would hug you if I could. The fact that you are worried about your qualities means you would probably make a great parent. But influencing and working in communities is as important.

    Best of luck buddy.

My point is simply that we don't know if consciousness exists anywhere else. Currently we have a unique and precious gift.

    And it is fragile.

Even if you don't have kids you have a responsibility to protect and nurture this

It is nice to have a pleasant conversation with no one angry at the end.

It is an emotive subject that I feel strongly about. Have a very nice day also.

I suppose if you are happy to risk it... Continue with your ways.

But I think that it is time for people to start changing some of their habits.

My comment was just a reply to your question (if it was your question). I have no problem with the label 'vegan' but it is only a question of what I eat for dinner. Other than that it is a question of compassion and community.

    Where do you live?

And would you not prefer to have more wild habitat and insects rather than cheap milk?

Yes. And I do it because there is no way to farm intensively and feed the population and care for the planet. I can handle going with out and prefer to have a meal that makes me happy rather than a meal that society says I should eat.

You may also have notices that a lot of the probem for insects is this industrial farming. You dont need to eek out every last drop of energy from the system. You need to be sustainable. The inedible parts can be used for fertilizer and helping to create other ecosytems.

Rght now we are heading towards a very low diversity ecosytem. This is because in some part to efficiency.

Its a fallacy that you need to eat so much protein. If you just eat plant products and pulses you will be absolutely fine.

There are even plant based body builders.

There are a number of reasons, and they may not all apply to you. However, the water use needed to create a pint of milk is large. On top of this you need the land to graze the animals and the feed during the winter.

If you reduce or cut it out completely you can reduce your carbon foot print significantly.

We already have great sources of protein. But we shovel them into the mouths of animals to get a reduced set of protein. Eating significantly less meat and dairy is the minimum anyone who really cares about these things should be doing.

It's says at the bottom. Go vegan to reduce the amount of land you require for your food. That's an immediate change you can make.

[–] UK ports to wave through EU goods without checks after no-deal Brexit, HMRC says daveatwork 1 points ago in ukpolitics

That's not the issue. The issue is that the UK won't be able to export competitively. So the pound will devalue and these EU imports will be unaffordable.

    Lovely bit of banter.
