[–] Wondered what the dots on the roof were.. turns out we had a baby huntsman (large Aussie spider) explosion 😢 delusion01 1 points ago in oddlyterrifying

I have a bunch of them outside my door.. quite a few big redbacks at the moment too. Big huntsmans usually every week or so. Only one I don't see that often is the funnel-web, which is probably a good thing!

As much as I didn't want to, these got sent to spider heaven. I pretty much always catch and release outside (even when I'm sure it's the same spider determined to live inside the house) but there was way too many to do that for and they were starting to scatter.

Oh yeah I agree. For anyone not in Australia, they are venomous but very hard to get them to bite, they are just quite big and seemingly appear out of nowhere. Just didn't want this many in my bathroom πŸ˜†

Hahaha mate I retrieved a full grown one from the loungeroom the other day and with his legs flattened out he was as wide as my palm. They're super quick and will jump at you as a defense thing, still hard to get bitten though

To be fair Huntsmans are big but aren't really aggressive, I just don't really want to know there's definitely several hundred in my house 😐

Finally got it fitted! Quick sound clip here

[–] Bought my first bmw a day ago. Getting bad gas mileage on a 2015 m235i. Cruising around 75mph. Not flooring it. Is this normal?? Not sure if I should keep the car if itβ€˜a an issue or not. Went through a quarter of gas within 60 miles. This normal? delusion01 3 points ago in BMW

I think the 14.5l/100km is the lifetime average (or since last reset), I'd have to double check on mine.

Your graph (bars) shows a much lower average for that last 60 minutes and some very economical sections in Eco Pro, nothing out of the ordinary. Try resetting the overall trip computer and then watch your average from there, if it goes back to 14 go get it checked out.

Oh definitely not that much, it won't go past about 2-2.5 without camber plates etc. No real understeer that I've noticed, obviously a fair bit more grip than stock. I was expecting the springs to just make the ride uncomfortable but it seems to have taken a fair bit of roll out and corners a lot flatter. If I was going to do more track days I'd probably do coilovers but I'm happy with the springs (for now!) And thankyou, the 2s are a great car!

Ha my wife did - she has Lenny the Lancer and so it then became Benny the BMW

Yep I've been told that a couple of times, wasn't in the budget but I think it's going to have to be at some point.

I have a custom straight/valved exhaust, DP, lip kit all ready to go on together with a Stage 2 tune, just waiting for Sydney lockdowns to end so I can get to the workshop. At the moment it's pretty much stock, other than wheels, springs and intake. I'm hoping stage 2 will get me around 650-700nm torque

Thankyou! And no surprisingly not, I think I'll probably roll the front guards to be safe. I'm guessing it would probably rub with two people in the back but not an issue for me haha

Thankyou! They weren't even that popular here in Australia, I have no idea why - at the time I bought this there wasn't anything remotely close in performance for the money
