[–] 33 with stage 4 colon cancer. What the hell? ednamode101 1 points ago in internetparents

Sorry this is so late since I just saw this while doing research for my mom. I met someone on Reddit who suggested joining Colontown's Facebook page: It's been a great resource and they've got separate and private Facebook groups for stage 4, tumor types and people diagnosed under the age of 40. Send them a private message so they can add you to all the relevant groups.

My parents have been super close friends with a couple that I consider my family. They were always fun to be around: she’s always been kind and gave great advice and he was loud and did silly things to make us kids laugh. They’ve always been there for my parents, they watched us grow up and were enjoying their retirement years and grandkids when my uncle was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He died a year ago, about eight months after his diagnosis. My aunt struggled the way I’m sure you are struggling right now, just making it from one day to the next. I saw her a year later at the interment of his ashes and have kept in touch with her. She was very open about what she’s going through but, after a year of feeling broken, she said she wants to be around for her daughter and grandsons. I know she misses my uncle like crazy and says she still cries almost everyday but she said she’s not ready to go yet and wants to be healthy and stick around for as long as possible. She still posts pictures of him when she misses him but lately her posts have been more hopeful and I’m happy when I see her check in at a restaurant or cafe or see photos of her garden or her with her grandkids. I know Facebook posts don’t accurately portray someone’s reality but it makes me happy to see her doing better. She said the pain of losing him will never go away; it’s just become a part of her.

Your colourful description made me laugh. Husband woke up and sleepily asked me what I was laughing about. So I read it out to him and we both had a good laugh and he went back to sleep.

[–] Is Beck really a bad person? ednamode101 3 points ago in YouOnLifetime

Yes! This x10! It reminded me of how annoying Kristen Stewart was in Twilight with the lip-nibbling, sighing, gasping and acting coy. Of course, Beck didn't deserve to die but I found her very hard to like. Beck definitely didn't come across as someone who was all that interesting or had enough depth to be a writer. The premise was definitely intriguing and easy to binge-watch but it felt a bit like Twilight-meets-Gossip-Girl with a hint of Dexter for good measure. I found myself rolling my eyes a few times at the cheesy dialogue. On a positive note, I thought Joe, Paco, Annika, and Ethan were the best characters on the show.

Thinking of trying this myself. Maybe add different sauces as well afterwards.

You could try following #mealprep. I’ve found a lot of interesting accounts that way and there’s always an interesting variety.

Someone mentioned that sells your info to other companies. I’m going to do some digging and probably stop using them too if that’s the case.

Nooo 😳 Totally unsubscribing from them, too. Thanks for the head’s up.

Yup. I spent 30 mins on unsubscribing to all of them.

Absolutely loved ‘The Life and Times of Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir.’ I remember laughing so hard at the bit about the toity jar.
