Believe or not these are grassfed!? From Cape Grim, Tasmania. Was able to get them in America.

Yes correct! Any idea how much per pound of ribeye? Would be interesting to see the difference in price. I’m sure there’s a significant mark up sourcing from waaaay down unda lol

Yeah easily 6 months, I have steaks in my freezer longer than that even. Use the Memorial Day promo. I also got some Cape Grim (owner said that’s his favorite) and Altair Grassfed Wagyu.

Yeah expensive, but worth it. Not an everyday steak of course. Also, if you order $400+ shipping is free, use the promo code for 10% off.

Correct, they call it Vintage. In the description they say Galacian-style, I guess they are replicating Spanish techniques here in US.

Super simple, just pan-fried in ghee (clarified butter). You can buy ghee at almost any grocery store or amazon, Walmart has a nice grassfed ghee (look for it on the shelves near the cooking oils). Also, try “dry-brining” few hours before cooking or overnight - salt it and put in fridge on a wire-rack or on paper towels to draw out moisture (for better crust).

Check getgrassfed.com, if they don’t ship to your state just email them, Svante will help you out

Yes very different, hard to describe but had a deep rich flavor and the fat was incredible

Usually on the shelf, next to the cooking oils. Go for the grass-fed, make sure no other weird ingredients. Splurge on the good stuff, a little bit goes a long way.

Not sure of temp, but medium to high (about 7 of 10 on the dial). That’s the beauty of stainless steel, it’s light-weight, doesn’t need extreme heat, doesn’t need to be seasoned. Clean-up is easy, just deglaze and make a pan sauce with the drippings or soak in water overnight. Using All-Clad brand.

That is tallow (liquid/rendered beef fat), it’s like shallow deep frying and creates beautiful crust. You can buy tallow almost anywhere, Walmart, Whole Foods, most grocery stores. Better than frying in seed oils imo.

Also in tallow, it’s so versatile, after cooking the steak throw in the Cauliflower, then I’ll throw in the peppers... you can even fry eggs the next day. A little goes a long way.

Not sure of temp. But definitely try switching to animals fats, way better imo than seed oils.

Try this, it’s grass-fed Wagyu (yes that’s a thing!). A little expensive, $14 for 8oz, but awesome flavor and high-smoke point (doesn’t smoke out the house).

I agree, especially for thinner steaks

You must try, it’s also great for cookies and all sorts of baked goods. We ferment it and make sourdough!

I guess you can consider it a “healthier” option, compared to standard white flour. It’s organic, non-gmo, low-gluten, etc. But most importantly it tastes great!

[–] Honey Sriracha Stuffed-Crust Pizza made with Einkorn Flour fesuoy 7 points ago in Pizza

That’s awesome comment, I’ll tell my wife she was the chef. No filter, just standard iPhone pic! Toppings: Homemade tomato sauce (roasted whole tomatoes on the grill), mozzarella cheese, diced Anaheim peppers, and ground beef!

Ancient einkorn flour (considered the oldest variety of wheat, or 1st wheat. This species of grass grew wild for thousands of years before it was intentionally planted and harvested). Can find at Whole Foods or amazon - make dough - stuff with mozzarella - brush honey and sriracha on crust - add tomato sauce and toppings - bake and eat!
