[–] SimplyNailogical introduces her new nail polish line "Holo Taco" giantmaneatingotters 148 points ago in BeautyGuruChatter

Honestly so excited for her. It's so refreshing when someone who is knowledgable in a specific field makes their own product. You can tell she knows what shes doing like with the matte handles making it easier to open, etc. Also really excited for that black! I dont even use holo or glitter ever and I want to buy these.

The charcoal only really damages when you scrub your teeth with it. It's the abrasive quality. You should be okay :)

The kids are the ones who suffer the most. Flouride helps re-strengthen teeth when applied topically, but systemically it helps build the enamel on teeth that are still developing. Adults already have all their permanent teeth. But children have their adult teeth forming under their "milk" teeth for years. Theres so many studies showing how when flouride is ingested, it helps strengthen the development of these teeth that are still forming that will last them the rest of their lives. Cities without flouride show much higher incidences of children with caries (tooth decay). This is a snowballing effect that carries on into adulthood. Plus teeth directly impact your systemic wellbeing like heart health! I could go on and on, but I won't since this is a beauty forum. Lol But yea...its important! Yay fluoride!

As far as whitening, I would ask your dentist. Sometimes depending on your oral health/tooth sensitivity they may recommend different things. Professional whitening always works best, but its pricey. I would ask your hygienist at your next cleaning so they can recommend something that will work specifically for you :)

My hometown recently took flouride out of its drinking water. When I shared this info with other parents on the PTA because it wasnt printed in the paper and many people didnt know about the switch (my son now takes prescription multivitamins with flouride) I got DRAGGED. About how flouride gives you cancer, it's a poison, etc. When I brought up data I was accused of being a "sheep" and how I shouldn't believe what I'm taught in school because they have an "agenda." Youd be surprised!

Kendall Jenner featured in a half page ad in this months Ulta flyer. Moon is a somewhat questionable line of "oral beauty" products that is at least in part run by Kendall. Not sure how new this line is, so I apologize if I'm out of the loop. I havent seen this advertised thus far.

As someone in the dental field (RDH), I do not recommend purchasing some of these products! The Activated Charcoal Toothpaste in particular since charcoal is horrible for your enamel :( It will somewhat remove SURFACE stains, but that's because it erodes off the top most layer of your enamel. You cant replace this once lost! And charcoal is certainly not intended for long term use, if it all. Her products also dont contain any fluoride. I know this can be a hot button topic, but flouride is clinically proven to prevent decay and is much more effective then these other natural alternatives.

As someone who generally cares about the oral health of the general public, I think it's really irresponsible of Kendall to promote and help run a brand that sells products with ingredients that can irreversibly damage your teeth :(

I did give advice. I told him how to approach his girlfriend. He clearly doesnt want advice and just wants an echo chamber of people telling him hes right for kicking his gf out of their home.

If they got dinner one time and it was 6 months ago, I dont understand the big fuss. You said yourself you opened her messages and the last one from this guy was right after they met up and it was super innocent. You admit to being jealous, I have a feeling theres some stuff you're not letting on. Like maybe shes been honest with you in the past and you've blown up on her so shes hesitating now. Should she have lied? No. But this dude obviously isnt a threat to your relationship and he is an "ex" for a reason. If they were in constant contact thatd be different, but they're not. They had one dinner, 6 months ago, seems platonic, and havent spoken since. I would approach it as, "Hey it really hurt me you weren't honest about so and so...why do you feel you can't be open and honest with me? Is there anything I can do so we can rebuild that trust together?" If I were you I'd really work hard on some insecurity issues.

Are these matte? If so I'm gonna be SO disappointed. Creamy formula is everything for me :( My lips are too dry for matte

Hate that she lost the NYX awards two years in a row. Shows it's a popularity contest more than actual skill. Her looks always leave me speechless.

I love it. I used to use Truth Serum (as in every day for years), but DE works better for me...which is honestly a shame because it's so expensive. But man...is it good. For some reason my skin loves products with pumpkin...PTR has a pumpkin enzyme mask that's also amazing for my skin. The DE fit C has pumpkin ferment so idk if its that specific ingredient...but its evened my skintone a noticable amount and my skin is firmer/more luminous. I wish it wasnt that good because its 80 dollars D: But it honestly is

I love the JM sunscreen. It's still an oil though so if you arent dry I would not recommend. She's thick and it may make you too greasy. When you first apply it it has a white cast, but once absorbed into the skin it completely goes away. Honestly my favorite SPF is the Supergoop setting spray. That stuff is GOLD.

And I'm a hardcore FAB Ultra Repair Cream stan lol You get so much and the price point is great IMO. It's also great for eczema. If I could be a FAB rep I would be because I love almost everything they make. But the Ultra Repair Cream is my winter months holy grail. And its fragrance free and great for sensitive skin!

The first I blended out with a Real Techniques sponge but the second one, since I mixed it with moisturizer, I used my fingers 🤷‍♀️ Haha I know that's anticlimactic, but it's true!

Thank you so much! I shared it on the original post, but I'll share it again here :) My skin type is dry so in the morning I just splash with water then do a moisturizer with an SPF (either Josie Maran or Cerave) and an eye cream (right now I'm using banana bright by Ole Henrikson)...then at night I remove makeup with Garnier Micellar Water and cleanse with Purity. I then use the vitamin C serum by Drunk Elephant followed by Ultra Repair Cream by FAB. I've cut out physical exfoliators and use an AHA chemical peel once a week or so. The Ordinary has a great one that's super cheap and is almost a dupe for the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial.

Made a post a few days ago where I showed a 15 minute glam before and after! Reddit gave me some AMAZING CC so I did an updated look and think it really helped. I swapped out my frosty gloss for BareMinerals Nude Gloss in "Yaas", blended my brows a bit more, added more blush, and sheared out my foundation by mixing it with some moisturizer. Thanks for the help!
