[–] A lot of people are defending the MAGA teenagers by saying "They were just standing there! How is standing harassment?!" Here's a very important reminder of back when America was supposedly great. iamwhoiamamiwhoami 1 points ago in pics

I don't see how any of that changes the young student's own actions.

They're being criticized for exhibiting racism and overt aggression, and that criticism seems fair, because regardless of the events that led to them exhibiting such behavior, they still did exhibit it.

How can he say they didn't chant, "Build the wall" when we all heard them chant it on the video? They also chanted some mocking whooping sounds and what sounded sort of like the old Florida State Seminole football cry, which I also presume was meant to mock. It's also pretty obvious that they were trying to be confrontational, and weren't smiling to enjoy the cultural exchange. They're just spewing utter bullshit.

Maybe there's some fault on both sides here, but these kids are obviously trying to twist the truth and refuse to take ownership for what they did wrong.

[–] What is the scariest encounter with another human you have ever experienced? iamwhoiamamiwhoami 1 points ago in AskReddit

Literally a fabrication of biased media trying to promote an agenda. If you look into their reporting you'll see numerous flaws. For instance, they make claims about workers dying, leading their audience to believe it's from grueling work conditions. What they don't tell you is that included in their counts are workers who die from things like car accidents, and illness. Consider that many of these workers arrive from developing countries and are already in poor health. Moreover, consider that even then their rate of death is far lower then it is in their home country.

Of course that's all besides the actual point. There are no dangerous areas of cities like Dubai where crime is a concern. It's the same story in numerous other large cities throughout the world. So, if you have a point to make concerning what we're actually talking about here, I'd love to hear it.

That's what I did. I had a joint account with my wife. We started it when we moved abroad as a way to share pics of our travels with friends and family. Eventually we just got sick of doing even that and haven't bothered to update it in years. I've thought about cleaning it out, but I figure what's the point?

As an added bonus, it's under a fake name and the profile pic is of our dog.

    Everywhere has bad areas

Not really. There's no "bad area" of Dubai, or scary part of Nanhui.

[–] School condemns Trump-supporting students who harassed Native American iamwhoiamamiwhoami 7 points ago in news

Oh that's simple, because for countless generations women were the property of the men in their respective lives. That sort of mentality isn't easy for some men to reject as social enlightenment takes root.

I've seen other conservative posters on social media claim that this was all just a setup by liberals. Apparently in their worm-filled brains the liberals sent kids in wearing MAGA hats to be antagonistic and vile.

Seriously, what are we to do when a significant proportion of the country is batshit crazy?

Oof, you said a mouthful. My wife works at one of the most elite private schools in the world. Most of the students are the children of ambassadors, or big oil executives. Last year they had an incident where a boy whipped his dick out in the middle of class and began jerking off, apparently as a "joke". No charges were filed, the boy wasn't expelled. He received suspension for a week and then went back to school with the same kids he just assaulted. Tuition is $45,000 a year there too. Imagine spending so much to send your child to school with that kind of person.

That looks like a pretty intense fire. The first thing you will think to do is run the hell away from the searing hot source of flames. As big as that thing is, they may need to run a full hundred yards just to not feel like they're actively burning. In that sort of commotion and flight, you may not notice that you're on fire.

Yeah, around me we've got some real idiot owners. Guys will buy malamutes and huskies when the temp here in the summer goes up to 50. It's nuts.

Maybe it's regional, but I don't see many well trained big dogs in any of the places I've lived. I'm not sure why anyone assumes large breed owners are somehow more responsible. Yeah, common sense would dictate that you would rear in an out of control, large animal, but people are dumb and don't have much common sense. Often from what I've seen it's the large breeds that have taken control of the relationship, and the owner struggles to reign them in.

Not really. Mine only barks when there is a disturbance at the home, or if he's really excited. I could even train the latter trait out of him if I desired.

I fail to understand why small dogs have a reputation for barking more than large dogs. Any dog will bark without proper training.

I think some people also use Airbnb for short term stays with prostitutes they don't want to bring back to their homes, so they're not so far off.

    Are you crazy or something?

Anyway, you don't need to go through all my comments. It's right there below the original one in reply to someone else who corrected me.

No, I think I already made a comment to someone else where I said that I was wrong. I'm not really sure what you're looking for here. If you want some dragged out Internet fight, I'm not your guy.

[–] Excited Poodle iamwhoiamamiwhoami 16 points ago in gifs

Okay, so it's really the owners more than the dogs themselves you take issue with.

[–] Excited Poodle iamwhoiamamiwhoami 4 points ago in gifs

Sorry bro, but literally all veterinarian medicine and their statistics will support the fact that smaller breeds live longer. It's not something I'm just making up.
