[–] What is your most hated Kdrama? jamaa1995 1 points ago in KDRAMA

I liked what I watched, I just moved on because I didn’t love love it.

I guess that's how I feel as well.

[–] Why do they always leave the cup half empty? jamaa1995 2 points ago in KDRAMA

This is my personal opinion only. I think it is because they drink coffee a lot in a day, so small cup is better if they drink it 10 times+ they also drink coffee from cafe.

Interesting, that sounds like a plausible explanation.

The chicken across the road is just an example to show importance of context when it comes to humour. I know it the most low effort joke in history.

I call it the funniest "non joke" of all time.

It's only funny when someone doesn't expect it.

I'm saying humour is the joke as a whole not just the punchline. The fall is part of that. And I agree it wasn't funny to me but you must understand it uses humour slightly to lighten the mood.

I do agree that the scene was used to lighten the mood.

Honestly, I wouldn't have added the scene in the movie - but I don't think it's sexist...nor does it belittle Wonder Woman as a character.

The set up is part of the overall gag. Ie, you don't say 'to get to the other side' is the humour, without the 'why did the chicken cross the road' setup. To get to the other side isn't funny by itself. It's funny in context.

"Why did the chicken cross the road" isn't the joke, nor is it funny.

It looks like an innocent set up for a joke.

"To get to the other side"

This is where the humour comes from, the subversion of the joke.

People are expecting there to be some humorous reason why the chicken crossed the road, only for them to get a normal answer.

It's not funny, nor is it a joke...that's why it's funny.

Take what you say about Barry's awkwardness now. If he was reacting the same way to someones death,...I can't imagine people would respond well to that.

If that was his only reaction, yes.

If he's awkward at first and then becomes extremely sad...no.

The humour is, despite saving Diana from falling debris, he fell on her chest and he felt embarrassed by it. Which is a low effort gag

The scene itself wasn't humorous, there's nothing funny about falling on someone...nor is it funny to get embarrassed.

Normally, people laugh at the conversation/reactions the characters have after something like this happens.

Compare the JL scene with this scene from AoU.

The AoU scene is joking about Banner getting aroused and potentially turning green.

The JL scene is just a showcase of Barry's behaviour around the other members of the league.

The general audience didn't laugh because he fell on her chest, they laughed at Barry's expressions.

Korean instant sachet has small quantity and need around 90ml only.

Are their sachets smaller because people only drink half a cup, or do they drink half a cup because the sachets are small?

[–] Why do they always leave the cup half empty? jamaa1995 1 points ago in KDRAMA

I think they meant during the drama lol

LOL, I guess I understood what they meant.

[–] Why do they always leave the cup half empty? jamaa1995 1 points ago in KDRAMA

The real problem is that they never DRINK THAT DAMN COFFEE... or any other Drink they have on their table for that matter....

    Why is that?

I've heard they eat all the food they use while shooting, so why wouldn't they drink the coffee?

Return - the show annoyed me so much, I had to take a break from K-drama.

A great premise just wasted so disgustingly.

Misty was an amazing drama but the ending was absolutely unforgivable.

Then there's Grand Prince, the most generic of generic shows that is more generic than generic is generic.

I read the comments and I don't understand why people hated Revolutionary Love...I loved it.

It was cool to see a drama about a rich chaebol that didn't take itself too seriously.

I also love the fact that there wasn't any melodrama from the mother...she was a kind woman.

Honestly, I like Siwon in everything - the dude is charismatic.

There are a lot more, but I've watched so many dramas, I can't remember them anymore.

The punchline being he fell on her chest face first. Get it? It’s so funny and original. If you’re a 10 year old that just got his first hard-on.

    • There was no punch line.

    • There was no funny phrase uttered by either Diana or Barry.

    • The scene was quick and didn't linger.

The scene further cements Barry's awkwardness around other people. He saves Diana from the falling debris, falls on her breast plate and immediately stands up.

His reaction/awkwardness is the humour, not the actual fall.

Wonder Woman immediately stands up to fight again - she didn't smile, smirk, blush....or react in any away.

Probably referring to the motorboating gag which was a gag he used in Avengers.

He wasn't "motorboating", he fell on her.

It's also easy to copy and paste some Avengers scenes into Justice League it appears.

    Can you please explain?

What scenes were copy and pasted from the Avengers?

[–] DISCUSSION: if Ben Affleck wanted out don’t you think we would have found out by now ? jamaa1995 3 points ago in DC_Cinematic

    Not really.

We know nothing about Reeves' Batman movie yet.

I think we'll find out about Affleck's involvement when the casting is announced.

If Affleck is leaving, WB is finding an actor to replace him so that they can announce their new Batman in quick succession.

Sabo's adopted brother will be a mini villain/antagonist of the Reverie arc.

Big Mom is still chasing the Strawhats and chances are...Jinbei and co are heavily injured.

[–] DISCUSSION: My response to Jay Oliva regarding Batman's "no killing" rule. jamaa1995 1 points ago in DC_Cinematic

Did you even watch that part right? Batman did nothing to cause that explosion.

He didn't directly cause the explosion, but it was his actions that instigated the car chase and caused this innocent person to get hurt.

And the explosion didn’t even engulf the cabin, the driver was fine. Likely scared shitless but he could have easily walked away from that.

    He/she is dead.

The force of the explosion would've knocked them out. Since there is no one there to get them out of the cabin...the truck would continue to burn.
