[–] TIL Brendan Fraser pays $900,000 a year in alimony to his ex-wife Afton Smith. They got separated in 2008... jamaa1995 2 points ago in todayilearned

I know, she married a fairly well known celebrity who went to obscurity and she gets close to a million a year in alimony/child support.

Leave 200K for the kids/house and she has 700K in disposable earnings a year.

All while Brendan Fraser struggles to find a good gig.....

He quoted the portion of the wikipedia page that was related to Fraser petitioning the court to reduce the yearly payments. I assumed /u/JSnake1024 was saying that the court case reduced the original $900K and was no longer paying that amount.

    Brain fart, I'm really tired.

    Sorry, I misunderstood you.

I assumed you were talking about the petition reducing the original $900,000.

I guess you're right, I should've added child support in the title.

However, it's still a horrifying amount of money sans the child support payment. I just found out today and I couldn't believe it.

You may want to read what it says immediately after.

Smith, in turn, accused Fraser of hiding financial assets

It's 2017 and there's no new information, which pretty much confirms that his attempt to petition the court failed.

It was impossible for the sweet old man.

    Are reposts inherently bad?

I understand why a video that was posted only a few days before would be annoying, but I'm on r/videos literally everyday and hadn't seen this video.

If it allows another group of people to enjoy the content, who cares if it's a repost

I might be a bit mad.

That is the understatement of the century.

The author then died (cancer iirc or something like that) and so the LNs stayed unfinished

    Wow, I didn't know the author died....bummer.

Don't get me wrong, it was my favourite isekai - but it enraged me because there was so many good ideas and stories that could've been explored.....instead focusing on Saito being domestically abused.

I still can't believe he chose Louise, over the countless other women who loved him and treated him with respect.

The anime stripped out all the actual story from the LNs and went their own weirdass way and super played up Louise

    Have the LNs been translated?

Do MC and Onodera get together by the end? If they don't I am dropping this right now. Please spoil it for me.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity of saving your time.

    Nisekoi

The only other anime that put me through so much rage was Zero no Tsukaima.

Consider yourself lucky to have dodged a bullet.

It's a funny show, but it's not worth it.

nah just islam, Christians and Jews arent stoning women to death for being raped. your lack of concern for women in islam is disgusting

    That's bullshit.

While I do admit that Saudi Arabia and many Arab countries treat their people like shit and impose laws that have no basis in the religion......women are not stoned for being raped

In fact, a raped woman came forward and told the Prophet, he automatically believed her and tried to find the culprit.

Adultery and Fornication does have a punishment of flogging.

However, the punishment prevents you from being punished in the hereafter.

You have the choice of repenting and hoping your sins are forgiven, or you chose the punishment, which means the sin you committed is erased from your record.

    However, multiple things must happen;

1 - The person must admit what they did.

2 - There needs to be four witnesses.

3 - The person is given an opportunity to repent.

I think you really need to start differentiating the differences between culture and religion. You also need to realise that a large majority of muslim countries don't abide by the rules set out by God.

    Example?

In Saudi Arabia, they chop off the hand of someone who stole, while the princes/princesses do whatever they like (drink, fuck, steal).

In Islam, you can not punish someone for the crime of stealing if they are doing it to survive. It was the government/state's responsibility to ensure their citizens were not hungry and they failed. Which means that they have no right to punish the perpetrator.

The second Amir (Omar) used to walk through the city each night, looking for the poor and needy so he could find them a place to live and food to eat.

Women do have equal rights in Islam. Equal but different, something that is adamantly denied today (for some odd reason).

They had the right of owning property 1400 years before the modern woman and could divorce their husbands on their own volition.

A woman could use the money she earned to buy whatever she liked while the husband paid for everything (which is why the daughter of the household got less than the brother in an inheritance).

Women were allowed to ride Camels and Horses by themselves, which proves that Saudi Arabia's car ban was utter bullshit.

The hijab is not something that can be forced upon the woman, it is her choice and her choice alone.

I honestly don know where the niqab comes from, it has become popularised due to culture rather than religion

Well then you expose him? No one forced them to suck this guys dick, they did it because they knew they would get ahead, they're not innocent in this.

Courtney Love tried to expose him back in 2005, only for her to be scoffed and eternally banned/backlisted

They are all afraid, Executives/Directors in Hollywood have so much power.

Hell, Roman Polanski raped a 13 year old girl and still won an Oscar for The Pianist.

Terry Crews was sexually assaulted and even he couldn't stop it

He even masturbated publicly in front of a TV reporter

What I'm trying to say is, NO - they are all innocent
