[–] Any chance of getting UPT slot in ANG as a civilian? john3806 2 points ago in flying

Just so you have the most accurate information, 201+ hours is what gives you the max score in the PCSM calculation. Not 300 like was mentioned above. Good luck!

[–] Is anyone using the GI Bill part time? How does it pay out? john3806 1 points ago in flying

Did you ever figure out how this works for part time coverage? I'm looking into starting my instrument rating at a VA approved 141 school and I have 16 months of my post 9/11 GI Bill left at 50% of the total amount (I'm guard but have some AD time totaling under 1 year).

[–] Currently have a year left on my GI Bill, how much flight training can I get with what's left? john3806 1 points ago in flying

Does this $30 per day depend on how much of the Post 9/11 GI-Bill you're eligible for? I'm starting my instrument rating at a 141 vocational flight school and I'm in the 50% tier as I have a little under a year of active duty time.

[–] Anybody here actually enjoy their job? john3806 3 points ago in airnationalguard

Yes, weapons loader on the Viper. Best 9 years of my life without a doubt.

[–] What was your "I shouldn't have said that" moment when talking to a customer? john3806 1 points ago in AskReddit

Happened to my buddy, we worked together at a small diner and after he drops off the tab at a table of an elderly couple he attempts to say, “Enjoy the rest of your day!”

Instead, what comes out is, “Enjoy the rest of your days!”

[–] Looking to get some aerobatics exposure in the Minneapolis area. Anyone know of any local resources? john3806 1 points ago in flying

Yeah I saw him as well but was hoping there were more options but perhaps there aren't any. Thanks for the info and insight!
