I understand, you just didn't say that in the OP. Psychological then. Perhaps he craves words of affirmation, you could try building him up with compliments daily to maybe boost his confidence. As a man, I can tell you I love it when my wife compliments me, whether it's a job well done, how I look, smell, anything. Especially if you are sure depression is what your dealing with. Just do it in a way that doesn't appear planned or contrived.

I'm speaking strictly of max frequencies on water. Folks have hit 2200 on Vega 20, 1800 on Vega 64, which is between 20 and 25%.

Preaching to the choir ma boy. AMD said 25%. They dont make mobile chips homes. They are comparing to existing Ryzen, they are targeting up to 25% frequency increase. We'll see who is right shortly.

Yes they were. Not saying they are related because of similar terms. Im saying they are targeting 5GHz on Ryzen, homie.

Lets wait a couple weeks and see who is right. Anything below 4.8 and you are right, anything 4.8 or above and you are wrong.

If AMD themselves touted 25% more performance, as they indeed did, its very likely they were speaking of max frequency. If they were speaking of say ~2.5GHz, whats the point? It would be pointless. They were almost certainly speaking of max frequency, at least with the 25% figure.

TSMCs 35% figure, I agree with that being on some arbitrary point on the curve. I dont think anyone in their right mind expected ~5.4 GHz, which would be approximately 35% faster than Ryzen 1's ~4GHz average top speed.

    Your math is wrong, podna.

    100*1.15=115

    115*1.25=143.75

43.75% more than 16nm Einstein. The way I did it was just an approximation, and works fine for the purpose intended, lol. On what fucking planet does 1.25*1.15=1.39??? If you are going to try and pull the "OMG your so stupid and Im so smart" insult, make sure you are correct before doing so next time, eh?

Refractory as I use it does not mean you go soft, but that you have trouble ejaculating again.

I would demand full transparency to all phone and PC communications, full stop. Accept no less-- Im talking installing apps and keyloggers (with her consent) that will give you locations, texts, calls, websites visited, apps used/installed.

If she balks at that, well, you can either accept it and be completely a shattered shell of a man, or bite the bullet and divorce.

[–] 36 Hours of AM jortego128 1 points ago in adultery

In the past I did a statistical study in which I estimated that the number of men on AM outnumbered the (legitimate) women by about 200 to one. I'm guessing the numbers are even more out of balance now.

    Sounds about right...

[–] GPU fans - Afterburner, Wattman or Sapphire Trixx jortego128 3 points ago in Amd

Afterburner seems to have the best and most precise fan control of them all. Has been more stable than Wattman in my experience.

No, TSMCs own site still lists 7nm 25% faster than 10nm, which is in turn listed at 15% faster than 16nm.

    https://www.tsmc.com/english/dedicatedFoundry/technology/7nm.htm

25+15 actually= 40%, but TSMC in direct comparisons to 16mn used the 35% figure.

GloFo used to list their 7nm process as 40% faster than their own (Samsungs actually) 14nm-- which contrary to some peoples opinions, puts their 7nm identical to TSMCs 7nm, because TSMCs 16nm is ~5% faster than GloFo's 14nm. AMD has even gone on record saying that both processes were so similar they would require little to no effort to port designs from one to the other.

Its all still bullshit and we are going to be very lucky if AMD can actually squeeze 25% (5GHz on Ryzen) out of it (TSMC 7nm HPC). HOPEFULLY we will finally know the answer in a couple weeks.

**EDIT, because some redditors are pompous jackasses, excuse me for the fucking napkin math approximation, which was fine by the way. More precisely, using TSMCs "10nm is 15% greater than 16nm, and 7nm is 25% faster than 10nm, 7nm actually comes out to 43.75% faster than 16nm. Excuse the fuck out of me!!!

[–] "Samsung is ahead of TSMC in GAA by probably 12 months. Intel is probably two to three years behind Samsung" jortego128 -5 points ago in Amd

All this is BS, because 7nm was supposed to provide ~35% more speed/perf than 14nm, then in real-world it was said to be ~25% by AMD, then ACTUALLY what we got with Vega 20 was about 20% speed over Vega 10.

So this 35% over 7nm may well end up ~20% or less in actual use...

[–] the wife, oh the wife... jortego128 2 points ago in DeadBedrooms

I'm a bit of a slob and I stopped helping around the house because I got tired of her going behind me and doing it again...

    Thats a problem.

Also if she cant go through your phone its because A. you dont trust her, or B. you have something you dont want her to see. Both are more problems.

[–] We all know our expectations for Zen2... but what about the past? jortego128 1 points ago in Amd

AMD had a slide claiming 25% speed increase. It was on stage with Papermaster at one of their events.

Most men take at least a couple hours for a regenerative period, some longer. 10 times being able to finish in 24 hours would be EXTREMELY unusual.

[–] I used to have more sex when I was single jortego128 1 points ago in DeadBedrooms

It is strange, either your man resents you that much for whatever reason, or has physiological and/or psychological problems...

[–] We all know our expectations for Zen2... but what about the past? jortego128 1 points ago in Amd

To be fair, AMD did say 7nm would allow for 25% speed increase (which they revised from earlier claims of 35% speed increase for the process).. If they cant hit 5GHz they really shouldnt have said that, because anyway you slice it, 25% more than 4.0 GHZ of Ryzen 1 IS 5GHz.

[–] We all know our expectations for Zen2... but what about the past? jortego128 3 points ago in Amd

We have been burned so many times expecting big things from AMD, but on the CPU side, mostly just due to unreasonable expectations.

If Zen2 releases and doesnt hit at least 4.7 GHz single core speed, after all this 5 GHz talk, there is going to be some level of buzzkill, whether people want to admit it or not...
