[–] Quentin Tarantino says he may extend Once Upon a Time in Hollywood from his Cannes cut before its release ks501 0 points ago * (lasted edited 2 hours ago) in movies

Your mothers. Did you have a point, or did you just try your best to sound smart?

Shakespeare generally wrote most of his plays in a 5 act structure, so I'm not sure what the point here is. If you think you could poll streets in America and find someone who could tell you what a denouement is, good luck.

In a three act story, the first act is called the Set Up. It will have a beginning middle and end as it's own independent arc. The second act is called the Confrontation. It will have it's own beginning, middle and end as it's own independent arc. The third act is called the Resolution and ... I'm sure you get it. It is not possible to resolve a true Set Up, Confrontation and Resolution in 4 minutes. Whoever taught you 3 act structure did a really shitty job.

lol, I guess downvote facts when you don't like them

Literally every movie every is three acts

    Every movie every? Idk.

No but seriously, every movie is not three acts and whoever told you that is silly. Most movies have a very quick 90 minute arc.

Arrogant opinion not made to hate on OP: Hateful 8 earned it's length, Americans just don't know how to digest a story told in 3 acts.

Happy for Walden. I hope we have a closer, because deploying Barnes and Brasier situationally in the 8th sounds nice to me.

I know Brasier is going to get every chance to continue as closer, but seeing Walden get the call would be fun.

People forget Raf was a monster prospect. This may well be who he is.

[–] The Malcolm Butler interception deserves a deep rewind | Super Bowl 49 ks501 2 points ago * (lasted edited 9 hours ago) in Patriots

I mean, its statistically the most significant play in the history of the superbowl.

E: Before the Butler play, the most significant play in SB history was the Ty Law pick-6. The more you know!

I mean, my opinion bothers you and you're calling me an asshole. I think you're the one with the issue here.

He writes young adult fantasy with bad dialogue. Google 'hyperbole'

Not really, pretty common take amongst people who read fantasy.

[–] Prime Gronk ks501 2 points ago in Patriots

OK but now I'm sad. Gronk never made me sad.

[–] [NBC Sports Boston] Doolittle, Smith among closers Red Sox could pursue as MLB trade season begins ks501 1 points ago in redsox

I like how you say "Sorry, what?" as if I'm not speaking English or the possibility the Sox stand pat is something only an idiot would come up with.

Every prospect except for Michael Chavis and Joan Martinez has regressed this year. We have nothing in the farm to trade unless we're going to trade Chavis because Joan is probably too far away to be valuable.

That and we would need to acquire someone who costs under ~4MM pro-rated, because of the luxury tax. They aren't going to have their 1st rounder downgraded two years in a row. Certainly not for something as fleeting as a high leverage reliever, which is the primary need it seems.

I guess we could find a team like the Padres and try to get Kirby Yates who fits the bill, but they would probably want Chavis for Yates.

Sanderson is no where near the writer that GRRM and Patrick Rothfuss are. Sanderson writes 7th grade intro-to-writing level dialogue.

[–] (Spoilers Extended) Emillia Clarke: "Would've loved more dialogue between me and Missandei, or between me and Cercei. But i'm in no position to critique the geniuses that have written the show" ks501 1 points ago in asoiaf

I think the confirmation bias is yours, friend. That isn't true. Multiple cast members have said straight up negative things. Funny that so many HBO fans are still here on a sub for the books trying to rationalize the bad writing of the last three seasons.
