[–] [Q] How to set default branch name back to master? kyentei 1 points ago in gitlab

Thankfully gitlab supports changing the default back. So there's the "good enough tool". I have never thought the lack of knowledge in juniors as a limitation but have always used it as a teaching moment. If it is big enough to affect multiple teams, it's presentation time.

Yeah I get that, I have experienced similar at my job. However, I do think it is an important feature to support (regardless of opinion on the master->main transition). While incredibly cumbersome, it had to start somewhere.. therefore I think "better tools", albeit a tad short-sightedly put, shouldn't be downvoted.

I don't understand why this is being downvoted. However, setting a default branch name requires a version of git that isn't always present in the package managers yet.

I'm fairly certain you would've mentioned this if it were the case, but just to be sure; is the VM still running?

[–] This Week in GNOME #1 kyentei -2 points ago in linux

Yeah, that could be very true indeed. Which in itself I find a tad disappointing, because both parties could learn things from each other.

As two of the major DE's, I would have liked to see "This week in KDE" credited. It could indeed very well be that the author hasn't ever laid eyes on the hugely popular blog. Like I've said elsewhere, I would have liked to see it, it would have reflected nice on them.

Do you you really think voicing my slight disappointment in this really is hating? Because I didn't want to come across as such, and it saddens me you feel that way.

Yeah, that's not "This week in KDE" now is it.

Considering they're both DE's, I just thought it would have looked nice on them to see them crediting Nate's work. They don't have to, and they're allowed to do this without crediting, but I just think it would have looked good on them.

Yeah I was wondering if we'd see this credited. Apparently not

[–] Males of reddit, what are some "guy tips" you think every man should know? kyentei 1 points ago in AskReddit

It hurt once during intercourse, which I don't know if it was related. I decided to feel a bit later, and felt a bit of a harder spot. It was super tiny and I'm still not sure if it actually was something. At first the GP didn't want to see me, because it didn't sound at all if there was something wrong. Was told I could come by later that week, unless it started hurting.

After a day or two, it started hurting (which could very well be because I was dead worried and obsessing over it). Went to the GP that very day, he didn't feel a thing but told me I could get an echo made for my own reassurance. I took that offer and they found something really small, was sent to the hospital where they said they don't take any risks and wanted to take the ball out.

Turned out to be one "of the good kind" of cancers in a very early stage. Was small and I could very well have been very lucky because it wasn't at a stage yet where you could actually feel something. Due to this I thankfully didn't need any chemo.

I get this doesn't entirely answer what you want to know. In general, you'll want to feel for a hard, round/oval shape on your ball. It doesn't have an even surface, and you can't move it around and usually doesn't hurt at all. If you feel something soft or "wire-like", that's most likely your epididymis and nothing to worry about.

That said, if you're worried just let a professional check. It's better to get checked once too often than too late.

Same here, 29 year old - just a few months ago. Have a feel sometimes lads, not just to check but also to familiarise yourself with how it should be feeling. It's no joke, and occurs especially between ages of 20 and 40. It's not just a disease for later in life. RIP righty.

I came here to say just the same. So yeah, OP, definitely try latte-dock instead.

[–] KDE Neon with BTRFS and snapshots? kyentei 1 points ago in kdeneon

Then you're out of luck. Calamares seems to crash on anything other than "default" settings. I really don't like that installer.

[–] KDE Neon with BTRFS and snapshots? kyentei 1 points ago in kdeneon

No, you can select btrfs right from the installer. Requires custom partitioning though. I'm talking about the server installer.
