[–] Sensors a Galore milianbenja088321 1 points ago in embedded

    Hello everyone,

This is my first post, with that being said if I am posting in the wrong place just let me know where to post and I'll delete the post, thanks.

Okay, so I have a project that requires me to tell the difference when an oreo has a top and when it doesn't. If that seems ambiguous then I'll elaborate further. I'm looking for a sensor that is tiny, about 10mm in thickness max that will allow me to get analog values showing whether the oreo is showing the cream filling or if it is showing the chocolate top.

I'm currently using phototransistors (QRD1114) to detect the distance of the cookie with the chocolate top and without. It seems to work but the problem is, cookies range in size of thickness and I need this to be consistent.

any ideas that might be a good choice?

    -ThanksBen

    Thanks!
