*I couldn't care less what you believe or not, but stop spreading misinformation and random topics you clearly don't have a detailed grasp on aside from repeating what you read without adding any critical thinking.*

You're an accountant who has never seen a bankruptcy in 15 years. Nice. Must be a great business to run perfect company's books exclusively.

No one cares about your fake background and you still know nothing about mine. I studied economics and earned my phd under Mary K. Olson. I worked for years in solar financing. I retired in a shorter time span than your entire career has been going on. Enjoy work.

So you went from agreeing with me but just doubting I know a simple corporate finance formula, to completely disagreeing with me because I pointed out that you didn't even get the typo right. You're a grade-A troll that's for sure. I'm more skeptical on the accounting background, however. And by the way I'm not downvoting you.

The take away is that accounting profit is not correlated to the returns to individual shareholders, so there is no double taxation occuring when they take profits, so the wealthiest people in the country who make the most money from investments pay lower taxes than income earners who make less, so the tax system is regressive for people with the most wealth.

And you didn't even copy the formula right XD. Fixed capital investment is subtracted to calculate free cash flow to the firm. It's an expenditure required to sustain the business as a going concern.

Do you even understand that formula? Do you understand how debt creates a tax shield? Do you understand that businesses go bankrupt when they default on those debts, which eventually always happens leaving massive liabilities on their balance sheet unpaid for? Do you have anything relevant to say about what I actually wrote, or do you just want to repeat details I've already accurately expressed in a rude way?

You could just look in multiple other places where people asked me for the calculation and I gave it to them. Also, nothing I wrote in my original post indicated that free cash flow to the firm is anything other than what is in this equation. You know 0 about my background. You made an assumption that was incorrect and stated it in a very rude way. You're an ass.

You can't rely on other people to stay informed for you. Good luck finding those resources or making them yourself.

...from households. And the reduction for corporations was almost the same. And the deficit grew.

[–] American taxpayers paid over $90 billion more under Trump tax law mista-bobdobalina 2 points ago in politics

I don't have that position. You didn't read anything I wrote, assumed I had a stance I didn't, and were really rude to me. You suck dude.

[–] American taxpayers paid over $90 billion more under Trump tax law mista-bobdobalina 2 points ago in politics

Tax revenue overall didn't increase, the household revenue increase was offset by deductions from other sources XD. Seriously stop wasting my time, I'm done responding to you and no one is reading this far down into your fantasy scenarios.

Well now you are taking the data point and putting it in a different context. That's 65% OF FILERS not of the entire population. That's why the data set gets to 100% discussing only people who have filed. You're splitting hairs about nothing here, and wasting my time. See ya around.

You're looking at the right things but the numbers here are off. This is household tax revenue, which was less than 2 trillion dollars. The growth of 93 billion comes from 1.5% filer growth, and 1.6% household income growth, but that only covers about ~60 billion as you pointed out. The rest was taken from people who paid more in taxes, since only 65% actually saw a cut.

And like I said in my original post, it only matters a little bit whether the funding for 65% of people getting a tax cut comes from other people or from deficit spending, because either way it is a flood of cash to corporations that have never paid taxes, are using it for buybacks, are employing workers full time on welfare, and don't intend to survive.

Bezos- "In fact, I predict one day Amazon will fail. Amazon will go bankrupt. ... The key to prolonging that demise, Bezos continued, is for the company to “obsess over customers” and to avoid looking inward, worrying about itself."

[–] American taxpayers paid over $90 billion more under Trump tax law mista-bobdobalina 2 points ago in politics

Yeah, you could change the numbers so that is the case, but we know that it isn't. 65% of people absolutely got a cut. That's it.

[–] American taxpayers paid over $90 billion more under Trump tax law mista-bobdobalina 1 points ago in politics

35% of people did not receive a tax cut. It is murky what happened to 29%, but if you look at examples given here many paid a small amount more in taxes while getting a modest raise so it is murky.

Jeff Bezos - " In fact, I predict one day Amazon will fail. Amazon will go bankrupt. ... The key to prolonging that demise, Bezos continued, is for the company to obsess over customers and to avoid looking inward, worrying about itself. "

There is no tax liability. You go bankrupt on a massive amount of liabilities after all the cash is siphoned away.

Sears, Toys R S, Blockbuster, countless other companies that defaulted on their liabilities and filed bankruptcy.

I'm sorry that your ego is so wrapped up in this. I've been responded to by thousands of people today so I don't really have time to hold anyone's hand anymore. Take care.

But the entire point I'm making is that this situation is advertised as a tax cut for all and it isn't, just like you are describing here. Just like in your scenario, where neither the original 2$ earner, nor the newcomer, see a tax cut. No one else receives a cut either in your scenario.
