You misunderstood me, I was talking about SAO in general, excluding what I've not seen, obviously.

The first half of S1 is better the the rest (S1,S2,S3), imo, but the overall quality is really, really low. Then I stopped watching, so I don't know about alicization, but for what I've seen, the writing does not get better, it drowns in plot holes, 1d characters that do not change in any way, badly written plot points and a fundamental flawed set of ideas upon which the show is built.

Mother's Rosario one of the best? It's abysmal, one of the worse. Not that the rest of S2/S3 is much better

In a criminal case prosecution have to prove that you did it behind reasonable doubt, an incredible high standard, while in civil court you just have to prove that It is more likely than not that something happened. So you might have enough proof to win in a civil court but not in a criminal one.

It's always the car's fault, even outside of crossings

There are more crossing without lights than with lights, out of necessity

Italian here. Technically, if you see a pedestrian waiting at a crossing you have to stop and it normally happens in small towns. But if you're in a big city it's free for all, trying to not get killed while going around it's an art.

Since the chief justice is the one who administer the oath you don't need the former president to do anything, once the oath is done the president-elect becomes the president and the president becomes a normal citizen that can, and will, be escorted out of the white house.

I'm not an expert in US law but it generally seems that legislation in your country needs a lot of interpretation through the courts. It's very different here (civil law, no concept of precedent), it's extremely rare (or impossible? I'm not sure) that a law need to be challenged in court, except on its constitutionality (but that happens generally before it's signed by the president of the republic)

[–] Constitutional amendment to avoid gvt shutdown overthinkerPhysicist 2 points ago in legaladviceofftopic

Yeah I understand. Even if you had a multi party system you would need, in some cases, to override a veto and a supermajority is even harder to accomplish

[–] Constitutional amendment to avoid gvt shutdown overthinkerPhysicist 2 points ago in legaladviceofftopic

You could, for example, require that the budget must be divided in essential and non-essential sections. In the first you put wages, maintenance, programs which people need to survive like food stamps,... (essentially you want to avoid that the people working for you and relying on you suffer) and in the latter everything else and all the one time budget proposals. Then you require that, if the budget do not pass, there is an automatic monthly appropriation of 1/12 of the last essential budget, or something like that.

Surely there are a ton of issue with this simple proposal and it would go to court for the definition of essential (what doesn't in the us anyway) but I'm sure that a professional politician could come up with a better (maybe bipartisan) idea, it's their work.

[–] Constitutional amendment to avoid gvt shutdown overthinkerPhysicist 5 points ago in legaladviceofftopic

In my country a failure to pass a budget would be seen as a complete failure of the legislative and executive branch and would, in 99.99% of cases, trigger a fall of the government and require a new coalition. But, as I said, every country is extremely different and what works in one do not works in others

[–] Constitutional amendment to avoid gvt shutdown overthinkerPhysicist 1 points ago in legaladviceofftopic

I live in a very different country, I don't know what could you do, that's why I asked. I expected that someone in Congress at least tried in the last 40 years
