[–] White males of Reddit, do you think of yourself as privileged and why? richstuff 1 points ago in AskReddit

I don't get it. I provided a source that backed up your statement, showing historical data because people were asking for a source. It was in agreement even if I stated the % was a little off.

    [–] If I bring a condom to a girl's house, I'm a presumptuous asshole. If I don't bring a condom to a girl's house, I'm an irresponsible jerk. richstuff 453 points ago in Showerthoughts

I had an incident in college. I brought it to a sleepover and it fell out of my pocket!! Ruining my chances that night.

If possible put it in something else like a book bag, gym bag, Briefcase. If you are still caught, you just say you always have them. If accused of being presumptuous, turn it around and say they are presumptuous for assuming it was for them.

[–] Got a text from a co-worker saying she was going to be late to work... Ran over a PB&J sandwich. richstuff 11 points ago in funny

I thought the same thing, it wouldn't. However, should she keep biking with it in there apart from what everyone else has said, I think it would kick up back to her, little bits of jelly and bread and peanut butter spitting back up at her clothes.

[–] Reddit, if every time you were scarred you became immune to what scarred you. What would you be immune to? richstuff 1 points ago in AskReddit

I've always kinda wanted a shark bite scar cause it seems really cool, nothing too serious though. I hope you didn't get it too badly.

[–] Reddit, if every time you were scarred you became immune to what scarred you. What would you be immune to? richstuff 1 points ago in AskReddit

If I was Drunk and fell, is it the ground that scarred me or the being drunk? Being immune to being drunk would really cut down my drinking.

Bikes, Box cutters, swimming pools, the ground, fire, glass, baseball bats, scalpel, cats and dogs.

I think I need a Bullet wound to round me out.

[–] Based on the way that you're living, what is the most likely way that you're going to die? richstuff 1 points ago in AskReddit

I smashed my head on the bottom of the pool over the weekend. I'm a 34 year old accountant and strive to live life crammed into two or three day weekends. Likely I will do something too Risky and be featured on r/holdmybeer.

[–] The past 15-20 years has seen leaps and bounds made in the fields of technology and innovation. Has there ever been another period of 15-20 years that advanced this quickly? richstuff 1 points ago in history

It's taken me a few times of reading this to try to change my thinking. In my head hardware is tangible and easier to point to as the cause. Twitter would still exist without phones but people would have to run home to tweet. In my head it was obviously the phone is the cause. Thinking that a large portion of the global population may have saved up for a period of time just to purchase something to have instant access to social media is something that honestly never occurred to me. Thanks for changing my mind.

I had not heard of lump of labor fallacy before so I went and looked it up. I was thinking of the automation of things such as (Driving (truckers, cabs) accountants, artists) a lot more jobs are possibly going to be automated in the next 5-20 years and I personally cannot see where the jobs will go. That is not to say there wont be a correction like there was with the industrial revolution. Less hours, higher pay sounds great to me.

Interesting. yeah I am not sure and I appreciate your point. I just see the timeline as being, Blackberry (ability to get email on phone), Iphone/android, then all as one big lump software for that tool such as (facebook, linkdin, twitter, mobile porn, and more). I see the iphone/android as being the biggest leap there that revolutionized how people connect. Although, I do see they all play their part.

I think the invention of small personal computers that practically everyone in the first world carries around in their pocket at all times to access the internet is right on par with trains and the internet. If it were not for these little personal portable computers social media would not be nearly as big. I believe the next big automation is right around the corner taking another large portion of jobs away which may drastically change life in the first world once again.

I thought it would be from Goodfellas but I only see it quoted in departed.

[–] ELI5: Why is it when oil prices were $110/barrel I paid $4/gallon at the pump, but now that they are $60/barrel I pay $3/gallon at the pump? richstuff 1 points ago in explainlikeimfive

A brand new Chevy Volt is $34K, Battery costs are going down about %10 per year. You can buy a prepaid replacement plan from Tesla for $12K. Surely with inflation Tesla thinks this 12K to be worth 15K in 10 years when the battery needs replacement. If that's the case and I expect Tesla plans to profit on this model it should be less thank 15K in 10 years.

(forget the fact that electric cars require gas sometimes also)

But only Hybrid require gas, Tesla, Volt, Leaf come to my mind as ONLY electric.

[–] Who let the dogs out? richstuff 11 points ago in gifs

They are hunting dogs. The guy with the whip is feeding them what looks like Kibble and meat. Someone linked the video down below

    You're correct Bob,

*Struggle for the gun with the flashbanged grandmother, not the Murderer the police were trying to apprehend.

Your link is not a clear cut case like Walter Scott. It's a tragedy for sure, but the linked article is written with bias. The Jury found the cop innocent and the cop stated the gun went off in a struggle with the repeat offender and convicted murderer Chauncy Owens. The Jury was able to watch the video feed and still declared the cop innocent. The family states that they sat with the little girl dripping with blood pleading for the cops to do something, while another statement states two cops immediately run to an SUV carrying the little girl. The real tragedy here is that a little innocent sleeping 7 year old girl had to live with that murdering trash father that got her killed.

"Really" her knees tucked into her shirt while sitting down? "Really" Photoshopped badly?

90% of the Flights I've been on in the last year have been fully booked or overbooked and the airline offered vouchers to anyone willing to take a later flight. Where can I find all these empty flights?
