[–] Reddit meme on Facebook this genuinely makes no sense on there sirbissel 3 points ago in facepalm

No, it's impossible. I was told there were only two people on here, and that has almost 200 likes

[–] Getting stabbed with a knife in the head sirbissel 24 points ago in WTF

"You're probably just seeking opioids. Go take some Advil."

[–] What ‘hilarious’ thing do you just not find funny? sirbissel 4 points ago in AskReddit

I'm pretty sure my 6 year old figured out the Easter bunny isn't real because stores stock Easter candy.

Except she won't tell us flat out because she thinks if she doesn't say she believes then she won't get candy. But we don't want to flat out tell her because there's still the possibility that she does believe and is just going through the questioning on her own.

If you're into board/card games, there's a meetup at the Barnes and Noble at CitiPlace on Friday nights starting at 7:30. They also meet up at other places and times throughout the week (I think there's a Thursday one in Prairieville, and the first Saturday of the month at Coffee Call.)

[–] Republican Congressman Caught Planning Violent Attacks Against Liberals sirbissel 3 points ago in politics

I think it may be partially due to the Vietnam war, in that the left was pretty anti-war, and that carried through afterwards, so you ended up with the parents of those on the left being less likely to encourage their kids to enlist in the '80s, '90s, and '00s, which means you have fewer people coming into the military already with a left lean to their thinking, skewing it right.

Stare into the distance briefly. "Do you hear that? ... ... I'm needed." Run.

[–] Missouri teacher charged with hiring hitman to kill student, 10, who he allegedly molested: report sirbissel 1 points ago in news

Though it may be outdated (this is from March of 1997): "An estimated 5.1% of all persons in the United States will be confined in a State or Federal prison during their lifetime" Lifetime Likelihood of Going to State or Federal Prison

[–] Pelosi to Democrats: If facts support impeaching Trump, 'that's the place we have to go' sirbissel 12 points ago in politics

The report never would have been. For whatever reason, Trump seems to have been right when he said he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose a vote.

This is kind of where I figured she was heading to begin with. The first part of her statement, "unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan," really felt like it was just saying "Wait until we see what the report says before calling for impeachment."

[–] Redditors in hiring positions: What small things immediately make you say no to the potential employee? Why? sirbissel 1 points ago in AskReddit

And Louisiana's discrimination law "covers only employers with 20 or more employees (25 or more employees for discrimination based on pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), unlike federal law, which covers employers with 15 or more employees (20 or more employees for discrimination based on age)." (Workplace Fairness) so even at the state level wouldn't have done anything.

He should've, but he was friends with the boss, so wasn't going to be - and my wife wasn't able to find a job that paid as well in the area as they did. The joys of a 5 person print shop in Louisiana.
