Selenium, no. Selenium sulfide, yes. The sulfur is the relevant part. Sulfur shampoos have an awful smell, but the selenium sulfide has very little odor.

It's used to treat seborrheic dermatitis, which can cause dandruff, but not the dandruff itself.

[–] Installed Wrong version of Windows 10 stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

Are you getting an error message? You haven't told us what the issue is.

[–] How to quickly fold a T-Shirt stephengee 3 points ago in funny

Probably using a conditioner with too much oils, or the shampoo and/or conditioner is irritating the skin and exacerbating the issue? If dandruff shampoo doesn't help you, you might try something for Psoriasis. It could simply be that you don't actually have dandruff at all.

[–] Linux Gaming FINALLY Doesn't SUCK! stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

Just because some don't work today is no reason to say it sucks.

Why wouldn't that be a reason to say it sucks? That's the way mac gaming works(many games don't work at, or don't have update parity), and everyone says it sucks all the time. Don't work "today" as if these games are suddenly going to not have Windows-dependant DRM schemes....

[–] Best browser? What do you guys think? stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

Because there was no other explanation and I wanted to give firefox a fair shot? I'm not about to complain about it crashing if something else is causing the issue.

[–] Linux Gaming FINALLY Doesn't SUCK! stephengee 3 points ago in pcmasterrace

Looks like it sucks pretty hard to me. Half the games he tried wouldn't launch or play.

[–] Asus aura sync question stephengee 2 points ago in pcmods

    Not possible. Fundamentally different.

[–] Best browser? What do you guys think? stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

No plugins, no extensions, clean OS install... Having to relaunch crashed tabs 2x-3x a day in 2018 is absurd.

[–] Buying New Computer. stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

    Why would it be suitable?

Music production requires practically nothing from your computer other than USB ports. And college implies you're going to be using it for classwork, so you'd need to take it with you every day.

The system you've posted is a bloated monstrosity that you'll dread carrying around every day. It's got great specs, except all the ones that make a laptop a good laptop. It's a great computer, but a horrible laptop.

[–] Cheaper alternative to Datavac? stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

You could easily buy a consumer-grade air compressor and duster nozzle for less than $100 CAD I'd think.

[–] Buying New Computer. stephengee 2 points ago in pcmasterrace

If you think that laptop is going to be suitable for college and music production, you're in for a surprise. When you have to bring a 4lb power brick with you because the battery only lasts 2 hours... When it doesn't fit in a normal backpack... When you don't have enough space on the desk for your laptop and a note pad...

[–] Best browser? What do you guys think? stephengee 0 points ago in pcmasterrace

    Chrome.

Firefox crashes constantly. Opera is just chrome, without the convenient google integration.

we don't know if the data was copied to other devices or if other people saw they data.

We definitely do know. The seller clearly stated he was selling the data separately from the physical hardware.

Popular misconception. Dandruff is dead skin cells clumped together by excess oils. Washing frequently to dry the skin should lessen the dandruff, not cause it.

[–] Process called dwm.exe dropping my fps by 20?! stephengee 2 points ago in pcmasterrace

Yes, it runs for everyone. It's GPU utilization will vary depending on what software you have open, how powerful your system is and what games you're playing.

[–] Process called dwm.exe dropping my fps by 20?! stephengee 2 points ago in pcmasterrace

If you don't want it to run, you'll need to install a non-windows operating system.

DWM is desktop window manager, the process that controls your windows desktop. You can't disable it.

[–] Guessing most of you are familiar with Star Citizen so I thought this would be relevant to you guys. stephengee -1 points ago in pcmasterrace

Sure, just like all your other zero karma posts in subs, with obvious and non-controversial titles asking for opinions on a topic, a topic I'd be willing to wager that you know nothing about at all, just to drive people to your profile.

You're not slick kiddo, people have been doing that for ages. Also, RIP your crypto dreams.

Edit: Or, the alternative is it's just some kind of fruitless attempt at easy karma? Who knows. Maybe I shouldn't impute malice when ineptitude explains it.

[–] Guessing most of you are familiar with Star Citizen so I thought this would be relevant to you guys. stephengee 1 points ago in pcmasterrace

Lol, your dumbass promoted yourself in a sub, then when you realized it didn't post, you posted it from your alt...

As if this has anything at all to do with star citizen. Get bent.

You're hanging the entire issue on a "technicality" that some settings pages link to the old control panel sections. Who the fuck cares?

If you open a hyperlink in a program, it doesn't embed the web page in its own window, it opens your browser. If you click on an email address in word, it doesn't embed your email program, it launches your email provider. If you click on a video file in file explorer, it doesn't embed it, it opens your media player.

Settings app takes you to any setting you need to change, and does a better, faster job than doing it from control panel. Also, if you use control panel, you CAN'T get to any of the settings that are exclusive to the settings app.

My original point stands. Everything you "had to do to setup your new PC" can be accomplished from the settings app. PERIOD. You can configure an entire PC and never once launch the control panel.

You're over here moaning about having to use legacy settings panels, yet ignoring the method that lets you avoid it on a technicality.

Yeah, I see the difference between a list of network connections and a list of network adapters. Do you not understand the difference between a connection and an adapter?

Were you unable to use the settings app to access the network adapter properties and set a static IP? That thing you just claimed was impossible, and now have hosted a screenshot of?
