Sure, but name another producer who churns out work that sounds like this. I can't think of a single one. It's only Rick Rubin doing it.

I'd agree with you if I couldn't automatically pick out a Rubin-produced record just from a few seconds of hearing it. It's his "style" now for some ungodly reason. If he didn't like that horrible brick wall mixing he wouldn't keep hiring people that use it. He's rich and famous enough to work with whoever he wants and this is what we end up with every time he produces a new 'true to form' record for a legendary band and I'm honestly getting sick of it.

I'm gonna start a petition to prevent Rick Rubin from producing any more albums. Seriously, why does everything he touches sound like garbage? This sounds like 96kbps MP3s ripped from the radio and posted to Limewire in 2001. You made the Beastie Boys, Rick, what the hell happened?

I got pneumonia so I shot myself in the lungs and it went away. Thanks Smith & Wesson!

[–] Nancy telling John Redcorn that she can't meet him, because she has a headache, and he says, "So, just take an aspirin," is one of the funniest moments. stonebone4 51 points ago in KingOfTheHill

I'm personally a fan of the scene where Hank threatens to kick John Redcorn's ass when he is "healing" (actually "healing") Peggy. It cuts to a side by side of average sorta dumpy Hank next to tall and jacked John Redcorn and they just stare at each other while John's hair blows in the wind. Then Hank mumbles "...I will" and walks off. Gets me every time.

"I would never heal your wife in the way that I heal the wives of others"....god I love this show lol

I don't see any obvious filtering on here. I think it's a fantastic photo. It looks like they used the same process I use:

    • Shoot in raw format

    • Open in Lightroom

    • Turn down the lights/whites

    • Turn up the shadows/blacks

    • Decrease the contrast

    • Slight adjustment to saturation

    • Adjust the tone curve to soften the blacks a little

No filters needed, it just makes the reds and greens pop out a little more to great effect here.

Fair enough point. A lot of it felt like he wrote it with a teenager in mind and then at the end said wow, wouldn't it be fucked up if they were six years old?! opens find and replace window

If people are screenshotting your snapchat posts it's probably because they're making fun of you with somebody else.

Yeah, like anybody really believes he’s going to sit down and write his own answers and not just have his lawyers write whatever will cover his ass best and then sign his name at the bottom. The whole thing is a joke.

Wasn’t that the whole point though? You were supposed to be uncomfortable with the idea of throwing children into space and teaching them how to be efficient killers. That’s one other thing the movie totally missed. If you strip that out it’s just Harry Potter with spaceships.
