[–] There’s a Vending Machine for Milk freshly filled in glass bottles at my local Dairy Farm! (Salisbury, UK) undercookedbroccoli 10 points ago in Damnthatsinteresting

    For anyone that may ask...

You buy either a 1/2L or a 1L bottle from a vending machine... place it in the metal door, it gets sterilised, and then you pay the small cost, and it’s filled with fresh milk from the farm!

I didn't need to luckily. She was trying to get up and looked quite startled - I was hitting her on the back quite sharply and had my hand in her mouth to remove whatever came up... It took a while but i got the culprit bit of bone out of the back of her mouth/throat.

Yes my dog is a she ... my teamates didn't know that... before anyone points that out!

Just came on reddit after a couple of days... Holy crap this blew up!

For everyone asking... She's a German shepherd, and happy as can be. I hope everyone has a great day. <3

[–] A-380 landing during a storm shows why aircraft grade parts cost a bit more than your average nuts & bolts. undercookedbroccoli 3 points ago in megalophobia

When most of us say "Commercial Aircraft" - We mean Approach Category A... TYPES. A crop duster is a CLASS... and classified under "work category", not commercial air transport. But thanks for playing.

It’s also easier because A380 has ILS

This comment is misleading. 99.9999% of all commercial aircraft "Has ILS" .... ILS isn't even the newest or most precise approach type.

Doing an ILS approach, or any approach for that matter, doesn't make crosswind landings any easier... Planes can not, will not, and do not land themselves in gusting conditions like this.

These kind of maneuvers are only EVER done for display purposes. Regular passenger aircraft would never do this sort of climb under any circumstances ever. Source: Commercial Pilot

Mid sized airliners typically climb out at about 1800 feet per minute. The pitch angle doesn't equal the climb gradient... It is a factor, but not the same thing...

But yeah I can't tell what this picture is either... There are some great takeoff long exposures on the internet, but this looks manipulated to me.
