But then you gotta make extra trips to the coffee maker to get more... There's nothing worse than having to take a break in the middle of a code grind sesh

Good. Now can we ignore these idiots making these empty claims and stop treating them with knee-jerk reactions? We're literally encouraging this shit.

[–] u/_ancora Explains how Kevin Hart's dismissal from the Oscar's was more that just twitter overreaction. wardrich 2 points ago in bestof

    1. I'm not sure what the better name is for a group of people getting overly offended for other people that may/may not even be upset in the first place, and turning non-issues into issues (see: "Baby it's cold outside" news, among others)

    2. Again - I'm not excusing the shit he said. It was wrong. I'm saying that there is a group of overly-aggressive butthurt coaches out there who feel the need to dig up every last bit of dirt they can find on people that are likely more successful than themselves so they can sit back and circlejerk over the news.

I'm done wasting my time with you now.

You're living in an imaginary world where the general public and the Oscars know what every person has ever publicly said.

Shouldn't these people be doing background checks on people they offer to host their shows?

Do you know what Kevin Harts favorite car is?

The real question is: do I care? because I don't... and I'm not the one offering him a job to present a lame-ass award show.

you're one of those moronic conspiracy theorists who believes that things don't just randomly happen

Far from it, but again - these tweets are 8+ years old. The guy has starred in many movies since then... but only now are these tweets coming out.

I'm not a conspiracy nut, I'm just fed up with SJW's and Russian trolls being rewarded for acting like kids.

I dunno, I'd assume they'd know. He said some pretty bad shit, and lots of people are talking about it. Not sure why they weren't making as big of a deal about it before... I mean, we're talking about something that was recorded 8+ years ago. The only thing that's changed is that he was asked to host the Oscars.

Where was the complaints when he was asked to star in all the movies he's been in since those tweets were made? Those tweets were there when he was in them.

And again - I'm not excusing what he said, but I think we should really be paying attention to the way this attack was orchestrated and executed. Something isn't sitting right.

So why did the Oscar's bother with him, if people had been bitching about this since at least 2015?

Also - they should care the same amount if the person is saying the same shit.

Sure by all means - but again, isn't it kind of strange that this shit only seems to come to light when something happens to somebody?

Where was the protest last year? The tweets were still there... And that's my issue with this whole thing.

[–] Google will shut down Google+ four months early after second data leak wardrich 2 points ago in technology

I can't help but wonder if the constant shutting shit down and shuffling things around is costing them more money in the long run

My question is, who the fuck cares so much about this shit that they needed to scrape the entire history of somebody looking for any dirt they can find?

Where was this person before the Oscars to drop the bomb? The entire thing was a personal attack and while what Hart did was wrong, this bullshit is equally inexcusable...

On one hand, we need to stop saying dumb shit. But on the other hand, we need to stop encouraging this kind of noisy troll behavior.

Wow... how do you even fuck that up? Even if you don't think you'll need it, isn't it better to have too much than not enough? Shouldn't they be taking ALL evidence into account?

What the fuck is she on? She took a damn hiatus, and she's crying because she didn't make as much money... This is what fucking happens when you're a one-person-show and you stop working. Dafuq was she expecting?
