[–] Tiger Woods Wins 5th Masters Title; First Major Victory Since 2008 yesh222 4 points ago in sports

Tournament is called The Masters. It's the biggest tournament in golf. Tiger has now won it five times.

Golf has four Majors (The Masters, British Open, U.S. Open, PGA Championship) during the year. They're the biggest tournaments. Jack Nicklaus won 18 in his career, which is the most ever. Tiger is second with 15 total, but he had not won one in over a decade.

Yes and no. Sure, we've seen great champions in the past 15 years at the Masters. But no one draws attention like Tiger, and everyone knows it.

A ton. Tiger was like #3 in the betting odds coming in. Not because he was anywhere near third-best, but just because he always gets a ton of bets.

[–] The NCAA needs to move the Women's Basketball Tournament yesh222 1 points ago in CollegeBasketball

    1. The NCAA and ESPN can make sure that the Frozen Four and Women's Final Four are different days. That's not a problem.

    2. DC and Disney XD would not be options, but FreeForm is an interesting point.

What Title IX issues would there be with different days for the tournament?

Other way around, I think. ESPN's data showed that UConn games were by far the most popular. People watched to see if they would lose.

Right. Plenty of people will watch women's basketball (more probably college than pros, honestly) if it's the best sports on at the time. But when it's competing with men's CBB? The vast majority who enjoy college sports and basketball will choose to watch the men over the women. That's just how it is, and not acknowledging that is foolish.

People so often assume that a less than 25% chance basically equals zero.

More people should follow baseball closely. Would solve all our math problems.
